The study identified key safety risks, such as inconsistent adherence to traffic regulations during ADS testing, and proposed a multi-pillar testing approach combining simulation, closed-field, and real-road testing to ensure comprehensive coverage of traffic rules. The methodology included scenario-based testing, the development of 398 evaluation criteria to verify compliance within the Operational Design Domain (ODD). These findings were being implemented in the ADS evaluation in the Level 3 pilot project and were expected to inform future standards for ADS traffic rule compliance.
