UN R16: Proposal for a 09 series of amendments

Proposal to: - define minimum safety-belt installation specifications for forward-facing seats which face a Child Restraint System in M2 and M3 vehicles
- introduce definitions, requirements and a test procedure for lower tether anchorages
- prohibit use of the Unique Identifier in place of the UN R16 approval mark, and
- remove two exemptions for two-point belts
- clarify the requirements for safety-belt reminder of rear seat row(s)
- clarify:
- how to assess safety-belt reminder connection, in the case of removable seats and
- safety-belt reminder systems test procedure (first and second level warning), visual warning and requirements for safety-belt reminder of rear seat row(s).

This proposal (WP.29/2023/105) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-six Contracting Parties out of the 51 applying UN R16 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-six voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
