This task force was established in May 2013 to pursue the update of UN Regulation No. 55 on mechanical couplings as it concerns agricultural vehicles. During 2008-2011, a group of German experts from KBA, technical services and manufacturers developed a proposal for a new regulation covering this subject. Therefore, the Informal Group on UN Regulation 55 decided to use this earlier proposal as a starting point of the task force’s work.
