Proposal from the informal group secretary to add classes of emergency call devices to the draft regulation. The three classes proposed would address bandwidth variations (e.g., GSM 900, GSM 1800, UMTS 900, UMTS 2100, UMTS 1700/2100, UMTS 1900) and permit authorities to limit their acceptance of type approvals to particular classes.
