Proposed changes to the working draft of the amendment (document CMS II-01-02/Rev.1) to introduce camera-monitor systems into the regulation on indirect vision devices (UN R46) pursuant to decisions taken during recent sessions of the Working Party on General Safety (GRSG).

Initial draft of the amendments that would enable type approval of camera-monitoring systems in the place of convention rear-view mirrors presented as a consolidated version of UN R46. This draft is based upon the earlier proposal that was set aside pending work on related ISO standards (i.e. document GRSG/2011/23/Rev.1.).

Text drafted by Germany to introduce camera-monitor systems into the regulation on indirect vision devices, including for use in place of conventional mirrors, pursuant to discussions during the first session of the informal working group.
