Proposal to amend UN R86 on data storage and event data recorder requirements:

• Insert new para. 0.4. to introduce Supplement 1 to the 02 series of amendments to account for vehicles of categories X and Y and vehicles which can be operated either by a driver or an ADS
• Amend para. 1.1. footnote 1 to add a document reference
• Amend para. 1.3. to exclude VIN, associated vehicle details, location/positioning data, information about any user, date and time of an event from scope
• Amend paras. 2.16., 2.23., 2.29., 2.30., 2.37., 2.38., 2.55., 2.56., 2.58., 2.66., and 2.67. to revise definitions
• Insert new footnote 2
• Amend para. 4.4. to revise the approval mark
• Amend Annex 3 to update arrangements of approval marks
• Renumber footnote 2 to footnote 3 in para. 4.4.1. and amend its text
• Renumber footnote 3 to footnote 4 in para. 11.
• Amend Annex 4 to modify data elements and format requirements
