Proposal to adapt UN Regulation No. 162 (Immobilisers) for automated driving system (ADS) vehicles. Supplement 6 extends the regulation to vehicles without drivers or manual controls, including category X and Y1 vehicles and those with ADS operating above 6 km/h. The amendment defines two ADS feature types and modifies immobilizer requirements to account for vehicles lacking traditional ignition systems and driver controls.
