The informal group discussed a working document from the secretary with several points for getting guidance from WP.29 for further progress in DETA, like the mandatory use of DETA, a steering committee, implementing stages of DETA, financing, the server and the unique identifiers.

Concerning the mandatory use of the DETA application OICA stressed that this could cause problems without a sound solution for the financing of the system. The proposals that have been raised to the informal group on IWVTA as a first discussion document are given in document DETA-12-10.

The results of the discussions within DETA are given in document DETA-13-03 rev.1 which has been presented to WP.29 as informal document WP.29-155-31.
