Proposal to align GTR No. 3 with technical progress, addressing among others: electromagnetic compatibility/immunity of ABS-systems, ABS performance requirements for category 3-5 vehicles (three-wheelers), uniform requirements for equipment such Emergency Stop Signal and the means to disable the ABS, if equipped. 1. delete paragraph 3.1.15.3 as it is an unnecessary provision under self-certification systems and addresses deceleration measurement criteria referenced elsewhere in the regulation
2. clarify that the ABS tell-tale must be yellow
3. delete the prohibition on defeat devices due to the absence of objective and repeatable procedures for assess conformity necessary under self-certification.
