Proposal to clarify the requirements for light sources in the lighting and light-signalling Regulations listed in Annex 4 to Regulation No. 0 on the International Whole Vehicle Type Approval (IWVTA). The reference to “Illumination of rear registration plate lamps” should read ""Illumination of rear registration plates".
This proposal (WP.29/2017/72) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-six Contracting Parties out of the 48 applying UN R4 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-six voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
