Proposal to introduce new provisions to accommodate type-approval of hydrogen Type 1A dual fuel engines and vehicles, modifications to include Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) instruments and new provisions to accommodate monitoring on-board fuel and/or energy consumption during PEMS testing.

Consolidated revision to make corrections, clarifications and improvements that have already been introduced into the 02 and 03 series of amendments of UN R154. The proposal is based on document GRPE/2024/2, GRPE-90-11-Rev.1, and GRPE-91-11 PEV run-in provisions only).

Proposal to align the manufacturer information document with the type-approval
certificate.

Proposal to add engine capacity to the information document and to make editorial corrections.

Proposal to allow the type approval of vehicles that previously were only within the scope as an extension based on their reference mass.

Proposal to update requirements for dynamometer preparation before a Type 6 test by aligning UN R83 with the relevant text of Annex 13 of GTR 15.

Proposal to amend additive deterioration factors and the PEV run-in requirement and to effect corrections and editorial improvements.
