Proposal as approved by the GRE to allow for the installation of interdependent lamps for L3 category vehicles. The amendment also reflects recent amendments to Regulation No. 48, Supplement 2 to its 06 series of amendments and further includes some editorial corrections of current Regulation No. 53 texts. The concern is that the rear trunk lid commonly used for four-wheeled vehicles may be adapted for future scooter type motorcycles to secure the storage space for helmet, etc. Current lamp requirements impose design constraints that may hamper the proper development of such storage features. Please note that the title of this document has been corrected to Supplement 17. Supplement 15 was adopted under Amendment 1 to Revision 3 of UN R53. |
