Proposal developed through the GTR7-Phase 2 informal group (BioRID II) to add a new section to the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles for “test devices” that would provide a cross-index of test tools referenced in UN Regulations and addenda to cover their specifications and use.

Draft for a special resolution concerning test tools and devices necessary for the assessment of compliance under UN Regulations and GTR. This resolution would be the repository for current information on the specifications of dummies and other tools referred to in the regulations.

Proposal from the United Kingdom and the United States of America for both the 1958 and 1998 Agreements, in which the drawings and technical specifications of any test device used in UN Regulations and UN GTRs could be incorporated as addenda to a Resolution.

In response to concerns that the term “Special Resolution” applies only to the 1998 Agreement, this proposal would rename the “Special Resolution No. 2” proposal for a test tool concordance under both the 1958 and 1998 Agreements as a “Mutual Resolution”.
