The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies – ICTs. ITU is organized under sector groups and subsidiary working parties. ITU-T (formerly CCITT) brings experts together to develop international standards known as ITU-T Recommendations for the global infrastructure of information and communication technologies. The ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) addresses the global management of the radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits.
