India proposes formulation of new UN GTR under 1998 agreement for fire protection systems in occupant compartment of IC engine buses of M<sub>3</sub> category Class III based on methodology followed in Indian standard AIS-135 (Parts 3 and 4). The FPS is an inbuilt alarm and protection system based on water mist system installed in occupant compartment to allow evacuation time for bus occupants in case of fire event. India requests GRSG agreement and guidance for addition of this item under listing of candidate for development of new UN GTR. India |
