The expert from the United States of America, in his capacity of Chair of IWG on QRTV GTR, informed AC.3 that the national Rule on QRTV would be published in his country in the coming months and that, following the publication, he would convene a session of IWG on QRTV GTR. The representative of France, as Chair of GRB, recalled the progress in preparing the draft QRTV Regulation under the 1958 Agreement (item 4.13.1 of the agenda). He pointed out that the immediate task of IWG on QRTV GTR would be to identify the gaps between the QRTV Regulation and the US Rule and to assess the possibility of preparing compromise provisions for including into the draft GTR. AC.3 requested the Chair of IWG on QRTV GTR to report on the outcome of these activities at the AC.3 session in November 2016.
