The expert from IMMA reported on the significant progress made by the IWG on Environmental and Propulsion Performance Requirements (EPPR), particularly on the adoption at the seventy-second session of GRPE of a new global technical regulation on the measurement procedure for two- or three-wheeled motor vehicles equipped with a combustion engine with regard to the crankcase and evaporative emissions. He noted the ongoing preparation of a proposal for a new global technical regulation on the measurement procedure for two- or three-wheeled motor vehicles with regard to on-board diagnostics expected to be considered at the next GRPE session in June 2016. The active participation of key motorcycle markets in the IWG on EPPR was noted with the involvement of China, Indian, Japan and the European Union.
