The European Commission proposes to amend the draft EVE mandate in order to avoid overlap in the scope of work with other GRPE informal working groups whose scope includes aspects of electric vehicle environmental performance. In addition, the EC proposes an extended duration for the mandate given its assessment of the complexity of this effort.

This note outlines the next steps of WLTP IWG for the development of EV regulations, as supported by the European Commission, and indicates some areas of possible collaboration with the Electric Vehicles and the Environment IWG.
