12. UN Regulation No. 127 (Pedestrian safety)

22. The expert from Germany introduced informal document GRSP-79-36 to maintain the current level of pedestrian safety with pedestrian safety requirements becoming mandatory for small-series vehicles according to Commission delegated regulation (EU) 2022/2236. He announced his intention to submit a revised proposal based on the feedback received.

23. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands presented informal document GRSP-79-06 amending ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/30 to transpose provisions for Deployable Pedestrian Protection Systems (DPPS) from UN GTR No. 9 into UN Regulation No. 127. The expert from OICA supported the proposal and asserted that it was ready for adoption. GRSP adopted informal document GRSP-79-06 (as reproduced in annex IV) and requested the secretariat to submit it as a proposal for a 05 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 127 to the June 2026 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1.
