15. Priority topics for GRPE activities

90. The Chair briefly open the discussion on the latest list of priorities as included in the Programme of Work from WP.29 for 2026 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2026/1). The Chair proposed to remove the first item on the list on “Real-world emission conformity for Non-Road Mobile Machinery” as proposed previously by the US. GRPE agreed to remove this item from the list.

91. The co- Chair of the TF-AVRS asked if the TF AVRS should carry on to finalize pending items and requested guidance from GRPE on a potential workshop to explore how potential discrepancy in ADS testing methods (eg. For energy consumption) should be tackled. GRPE agreed to keep the TF-AVRS active to finalize the last proposals pending until the next session of GRPE. The Chair proposed to brainstorm with the GRPE leadership on a potential workshop on testing methods for AVRS and to report during forthcoming sessions of GRPE.

92. Because of time constraints, GRPE did not discuss the rest of the list of priorities. The Chair proposed to share the latest list of priorities as included in the Programme of Work from WP.29 before the next session of GRPE, and to collect written comments that would be discussed during the 95th session of GRPE. GRPE agreed with this proposal and requested the secretariat to send a message calling for written comments to the list of priorities to be shared by interested parties before the summer break.
