The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands informed GRSG that this subject would likely be discussed at the next meeting of the Task Force on Automated Vehicle Categorization (TF AVC), TF-Autonomous Vehicle Regulation Screening (AVRS) and TF on Regulation Fitness of ADS (FADS) session, which will be held in Paris from 8-10 June. He noted that the matter was complex, as the introduction of requirements for this type of vehicle might require the definition of a new vehicle category. The expert from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland supported this view and suggested that a Task Force be established to address vehicle categorization more broadly.
