5. (a) UN Regulation No. 117 (Tyre Rolling Resistance, Rolling Noise and Wet Grip)

11. The expert from Japan tabled an amendment proposal on the test conditions for ice grip tyres (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/2025/26). The expert from ETRTO pointed out that the proposal concerned a real-life situation (wet ice) that was not considered by the current ice grip test conditions in UN Regulation No.117 and proposed developing a new Annex to this end (GRBP-82-26). He also mentioned that this topic was being considered by one of the ISO Working Groups. Awaiting the outcome of the ISO consideration, GRBP agreed to revert to the issue at the next session.

12. GRBP received a status report of the Informal Working Group on Wet Grip Performance of Tyres in Worn State (IWG WGWT) (GRBP-82-31) and agreed to extend its mandate for one year until December 2028 (GRBP-82-32).

13. The expert from ETRTO proposed a correction to the 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 117 (GRBP-82-27). GRBP adopted the proposal but agreed not to submit it immediately to WP.29 and AC.1, awaiting other amendment proposals to the same series of amendments.

14. The newly established Group of Interested Experts (GOIE) on tyre noise level alignment reported on their first activities (GRBP-82-28), including a feasibility study to develop a test method with a Standard Reference Test Tyre (SRTT) to reduce the dispersion of measurements for tyres of Classes C1 and C2.
