54. GRSP recalled rule 37 of the Rules of Procedure of WP.29 according to which Working Parties (GRs) shall, at the last session of each year, elect a Chair, and, if desired, Vice-Chairs. GRSP noted that GRVA and the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) had already elected several Vice-Chairs from different regions and that the Administrative Committee for the Coordination of Work (AC.2) had supported this practice. Against this background, GRSP agreed to proceed with elections of a Chair and two Vice-Chairs for the year 2025 and noted the candidates nominated for these positions (informal document GRSP-76-06).

55. The representatives of the contracting parties elected by acclamation Mr. M. Koubek (United States of America) as Chair and Messrs. H. G. Kim (Republic of Korea) and V. Calzadilla García (Spain) as Vice-Chairs for the sessions of GRSP scheduled in the year 2025.
