35. The expert from Spain, on behalf of IWG STCBC, presented informal document GRSP-76-03-Rev.2, which superseded ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2024/21. GRSP adopted informal document GRSP-76-03-Rev.2 and requested the secretariat to submit it as a proposal for supplement 1 to UN Regulation No. 170 to the June 2025 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1.

36. The expert from Spain also presented a status report of the IWG (informal document GRSP-76-25). GRSP welcomed the information and adopted an extension of their work until December 2025 (see also paragraph 64 in section XXVII.G). Several experts gave their views on the issue of digital certification and noted that this was a wider issue which had applications beyond UN Regulation No. 170. The expert from Spain indicated that the feedback received was sufficient for the IWG to continue their work and that their initial focus would be on finding a solution to their specific problem. It was agreed that once this solution was finalised, it would be desirable to explore its applicability to other areas.
