Acronyms

GTR: Global Technical Regulation
HIT: Head Impact Time: The calculated time elapsed from the first contact between the vehicle and the pedestrian (typically bumper-to-leg contact) to the moment the pedestrian’s head strikes the vehicle (the hood/bonnet or windscreen area).
IWG: Informal Working Group: A group of experts authorized to develop proposals for consideration by WP.29 without being bound by formal UN rules of procedure.
