Proposal to specify the use of UN R48 definitions unless otherwise specified in the current regulation or in lighting installation regulations for other vehicles categories (i.e., in UN R53, R74, or R86), to harmonize the Conformity of Production (CoP) provisions regarding the permitted re-aim angles for class A and B headlamps, and to harmonize Class C passing beam values. The SLR informal group intends for these changes, if approved, to be considered by WP.29 at its November 2018 session along with the original RID proposal (WP.29/2018/158). |
