Proposal to establish an informal expert group with a mandate for the exchange of information and experiences concerning regulations, policy measures, and standardization efforts related to the chemical compounds used in vehicle interiors and the health of vehicle occupants. If warranted, the group would develop recommendations/guidelines for inclusion as a new annex to the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles (RE3) and the 1998 Agreement’s Special Resolution No. 1 (SR1).

Recommendations by AECC, CLEPA, EUROMOT, and OICA for minimum quality attributes of market fuels (i.e. gasoline and diesel) to be introduced “in parallel, and at the same time, to complement the level of motor vehicle and non-road mobile machinery pollutant emission standards that a country or region may be considering to introduce”.

Presentation on the status, open issues, and next steps in the project to standardize selected terms used in UN Regulations and Global Technical Regulations with regard to vehicle propulsion technologies.
