Proposal to update guidance to reflect provisions of the 01 series of amendments to UN R156. The document clarifies requirements for software update management systems, processes for post-registration software updates including over-the-air updates, RXSWIN assignment and management, security measures, vehicle user information, and safe execution of updates. It provides explanations, examples of acceptable evidence, and references to ISO 24089:2023. Transitional provisions apply from entry into force through 1 September 2030.
