40. The expert from OICA presented ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/43 with a proposal to allow the discontinuation of second level warnings when other audible safety warnings are triggered. The experts from France, Republic of Korea and United Kingdom supported the idea in principle but thought that the text needed to be more precise. The expert from OICA offered to work with interested parties to further refine the proposal.
42. GRSP noted that at its November 2025 session, WP.29 reaffirmed its objective to adopt all documents related to the review of existing UN Regulations related to Automated Driving Systems (ADS) at its June 2026 session and invited the Chairs of the Working Parties to consider various strategies to ensure timely preparation of the required documents. This corresponded to option 1 in informal document WP.29-197-25 and would require all proposals under this agenda item to be adopted by GRSP on this session.
43. Following a general update by the expert from Germany on the first day of the meeting, the GRSP Task Force on Automated Vehicles Regulation Screening (TF-AVRS) continued work on the margins of the meeting to refine the proposals and submitted a number of informal documents to amend the proposals in working documents under this agenda item.
