90. The representative of Finland, speaking on behalf of the Chair of the Informal Working Group on Periodical Technical Inspections (PTI), presented the group’s status report (WP.29-197-27). He noted that the Action Plan had been updated to consolidate all ongoing tasks and confirm task leaders. He provided details on the work related to emissions control in PTI, including the review of input from the Joint Research Centre. He also recalled the group’s activities on ADAS/ADS and data access, supported by a joint effort of Japan and the Russian Federation, which is developing a joint proposal on electronic PTI (ePTI) and diagnostic data access. Finally, he emphasized the group’s support for aligning implementation with the EU Roadworthiness Package. |
