He explained that this amendment would be necessary as the current requirement was not suitable for some future steering equipment which would have significantly lower steering gear ratios.

GRVA invited the representative of the Republic of Korea to proceed with the submission of an authorization request to amend UN GTR No. 8 at the next session of the Executive Committee of the 1998 Agreement (AC.3).
