IWVTA | Session 6 | 17 Jun 2011 |
Technical Secretary explained the list (IWVTA-06-04) in which the result of the 6th Informal meeting was reflected. There was one more amendment in the list after the 6th Informal meeting, i.e., Russia changed the category for item No.58 “Masses & Dimensions” from “n” to “B”. Technical Secretary confirmed the category for some items in question. The category in the list would be revised as follows in accordance with the response from Australia and Russia.
Technical Secretary requested Russia to confirm the category of item No.54 “Headlamps”, i.e., whether “A” or “B” and inform Technical Secretary of the reason to be categorized as “B” if it is the case. Technical Secretary explained the table (IWVTA-06-05) where the outline of IWVTA items with single “A” having no ECE Regulations was illustrated. OICA stated that the necessity for IWVTA should be discussed for items with single or double “A”. Japan responded that this should be discussed at each GR. The Chairman pointed out that item having only test procedures and no requirements such as item No.57 “CO2 emissions/fuel consumption” should be categorized as “A”. Japan changed the category of item 57 from “B” to “A”, provided that WLTP would be finalized and CO2 emission requirements would not be included. Russia changed the category of item 35 “Headlamp cleaners” (R45) from “n” to “A” because R45 is necessary for component approval in Russia. R45 is not necessary for WVTA in Russia for reference. The Chairman concluded that the item with A would be sent to respective GRs for consideration including the necessity for IWVTA. IWVTA technical regulations would be finalized by the end of 2016. |
