Agenda item 4.7.1. Proposal for the 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 35 (Foot controls)

Proposal to clarify the measurement method of the lateral distance between the left-most pedal and the nearest “wall”. During the October 2019 GRSG session, OICA asked that the working party request WP.29 to withdraw this proposal to allow for further consideration.

15. The expert from OICA introduced GRSG-117-35 requesting the withdrawal of document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/93 from the item 4.7.1. of the provisional agenda of the 179th session of WP29 (12-14 November 2019) and to resume considerations at one of the next sessions of GRSG.

16. GRSG agreed to revisit the document at its next session and to request withdrawal of document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/93 from the provisional agenda of the 179th session of WP29 (12-14 November 2019).

18. The expert from OICA introduced GRSG-116-26-Rev.1 superseding ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2019/3 to clarify the measurement method for the lateral distances of the pedals to the nearest “wall” to the left. GRSG adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2019/3 as reproduced in Annex II to this report. The secretariat was requested to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 as draft 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 35 for consideration at their November 2019 sessions.

51. He informed WP.29 that GRSG had agreed to request withdrawal of document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/93 from the agenda (item 4.7.1) of this session of WP.29 in order to resume considerations.

70 bis. WP.29 recommended AC.1 not to vote on draft amendment under agenda item 4.7.1.
