UN Regulation No. 135 (Pole side impact (PSI))

26. The expert from Germany introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2021/14, aiming at defining parameters to enable a reproducible measurement of the acute angle alpha (α) to decide whether or not the vehicle is in the scope of the UN Regulation. GRSP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2021/14, as amended by Annex VI to this report. The secretariat was requested to submit the proposal as draft Supplement 3 to the 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 135 (Pole Side Impact (PSI)) for consideration and vote at the November 2021 sessions of WP.29 and to the AC.1.

27. The expert from the Netherlands introduced GRSP-69-10, aiming at introducing requirements concerning post-crash electrical safety in the event of a pole side impact collision, as was agreed for UN Regulation No. 94 (Frontal collision) and proposed for UN Regulation No. 12 (see para. 9 above). The secretariat was requested to distribute GRSP-69-10 with an official symbol at its December 2021 session.
