GRE may expect a progress report from the Task Force on Substitutes and Retrofits (TF SR) and will consider their proposal for an amendment to the Consolidated Resolution on the common specification of light source categories (R.E.5) which introduces a new Light Emitting Diode (LED) substitute light source category H11/LED/6 for road illumination applications.
GRE will recall that, at its previous session, it had adopted the requirements for LED substitute light sources for UN Regulation No. 149 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2019/19), but had postponed their submission to WP.29 and AC.1 with the intention to include them in the future 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 149.
GRE may consider a proposal from the Task Force on Substitutes and Retrofits to introduce LED replacement light sources into UN R37.
GRE may wish to consider other proposals concerning light sources.
