Proposals for new series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 48

GRE is invited to consider a proposal for a new series of amendments prepared by the expert from the Special Interest Group that defines the switching conditions of dipped-beam and daytime running lamps (DRL) and the variable intensity of rear lamps in conjunction with traffic conditions.

GRE will equally address another proposal for a new series of amendments prepared by the expert from the Special Interest Group which clarifies the definitions of “switching” and “activation” as well as introduces the mandatory use of Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).
