The representative of the Russian Federation, on behalf of the Chair of the IWG on Tyre GTR recalled the activities on Amendment 2 to UN GTR No. 16 (Tyres) and the results of the meeting held in Brussels in November 2017. He informed delegates that an interim version of the amendment had been presented to GRRF at its February 2018 session. He also informed AC.3 about their memorandum on the possibility to develop a global marking for tyre as an alternative to existing national or regional marking. He announced that the next meeting of the group, was expected to be held in Canada in June 2018.
