GRPE may wish to consider a proposal from the experts of OICA amending the 05 and 06 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 49 to permit the use of hydrogen (H2) in internal combustion engines as fuel for emissions type approval of heavy-duty vehicles. The proposal to amend the 06 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 49 also includes an additional method to measure NH3.
