UN R133 Vehicle Recyclability Light Vehicle Recyclability Uniform provisions concerning the approval of motor vehicles with regard to their reusability, recyclability and recoverability Beginning in the 1990's, a number of nations began introducing legislation to regulate the treatment of end-of-life vehicles. These efforts have resulted in regulations and proposals stipulating that vehicles must be "re-usable, recyclable, and/or recoverable" to high degrees. In order to promote uniform regulations related to such vehicle design issues, the World Forum accepted a proposal by the International Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) to establish a new UN Regulation concerning the recyclability of M1 and N1 vehicles. UN Regulation No. 133 was adopted by the World Forum in June 2013 and entered into force a year later. Vehicle Recyclability Light Vehicle Recyclability UN Regulation No. 133 UN R133 UNR 133
