Proposal for a new Regulation on Pole Side Impact (PSI)
Proposed text transposing GTR No. 14 on pole side impact protection into a UN Regulation under the 1958 Agreement. (A separate proposal for the 01 series of amendments (document WP.29/2014/80) has also been submitted to enable Contracting Parties applying this Regulation to require a vehicle-to-pole impact speed of 32 ±1 km/h regardless of the “vehicle width”.)

Proposal for Supplement 1 to Regulation No. 135
Proposal to limit the scope of UN R135 to M1 vehicles under 3.5 t maximum vehicle mass and to certain N1 vehicles based on geometric measurements. The proposal would exclude the small number of M1 vehicles weighing in excess of 3.5t that are based on N2, N3, M2, or M3 platforms.

Proposal for the 01 series of amendments to the draft Regulation on Pole Side Impact (PSI)
Proposal for a 01 series of amendments to the proposed new UN Regulation on the approval of vehicles with regard to their pole side impact performance to enable Contracting Parties applying this new regulation to require a vehicle-to-pole impact speed of 32 ±1 km/h regardless of the “vehicle width”.

Proposal for Supplement 1 to the 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. [135]
Proposal to limit the scope of UN R135 to M1 vehicles under 3.5 t maximum vehicle mass and to certain N1 vehicles based on geometric measurements. The proposal would exclude the small number of M1 vehicles weighing in excess of 3.5t that are based on N2, N3, M2, or M3 platforms. [Because the transitional provisions of the 01 series of amendments to UN R135 stipulate an effective date of 1 September 2016, this supplement to the 01 series will remain pending until after that date. Although adopted, the supplement cannot become enter into force prior to the effective date of the regulation it modifies.]

Proposal to introduce objective criteria for evaluating whether a door remains latched following the pole impact test. Under UN R135, rear doors on the impacted side of the vehicle not directly struck by the pole may nonetheless be subjected to heavy loads and therefore need to be assessed. This proposal corresponds to a similar clarification already introduced into UN R95 on side impacts. The proposal is also available with track changes.

Proposal to align UN R135 with the provisions of GTR 20 on post-crash electrical safety and the administrative provisions of Revision 3 to the 1958 Agreement. The proposed amendments only relate to vehicles with an electric power train operating at high voltage.
