28 Aug 2014 Proposals for amendments to Regulations Nos. 9, 41 (03 and 04 series of amendments) and 63 (IMMA) GRB-60-07 2014-08-28 This proposal would correct the reference to the latest version of ISO 10844 and introduce transitional provisions for shift of the test track from ISO 10844:1994 to ISO 10844:2011. IMMA
19 Nov 2014 Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 (IMMA) GRB/2015/2 2014-11-19 Under the current 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 41, the engine speed should be measured during all tests in Annex 3 and Annex 7 (Additional sound emission provisions - ASEP). However, IMMA has found that there is very little difference between the measured and the calculated engine speed for a manual transmission (MT) vehicle (Annex, figure 1) and no impact on the test result (Annex, figure 2). Therefore, this proposal would introduce a calculated engine speed for MT vehicles and for continuously variable transmission (CVT)/automatic transmission (AT) with locked gear mechanism into UN Regulation No. 41. IMMA
17 Dec 2014 Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 - Corrigendum (IMMA) GRB/2015/2/Corr.1 2014-12-17 Correction to the text of the proposed amendment to introduce a calculated engine speed for manual transmission vehicles and for continuously variable transmission (CVT)/automatic transmission (AT) with locked gear mechanism into UN Regulation No. 41. IMMA
19 Nov 2014 Proposals for amendment to Regulations Nos. 9, 41 and 63 (IMMA) GRB/2015/5 2014-11-19 The purpose of this proposal is to update the reference to the latest version of the ISO 10844 and to introduce transitional provisions for the shift of the test track requirements from ISO 10844: 1994 to ISO 10844: 2014. 21 Jan 2014 Proposal for Supplement 17 to Regulation No. 50 (IMMA) GRE/2014/7 2014-01-21 Text prepared by the International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA) to introduce the possibility of interdependent lamps for dedicated motorcycle lamps. The proposal reflects recent amendments of Regulations Nos. 6 and 7 and meets the visibility angle requirements of Regulations Nos. 50 and 53. The concern is that the rear trunk lid commonly used for four-wheeled vehicles may be adapted for future scooter type motorcycles to secure the storage space for helmet, etc. Current lamp requirements impose design constraints that may hamper the proper development of such storage features. IMMA

Also, the amendment reflects the recent amendments to Regulation No. 48, Supplement 2 to its 06 series of amendments and further includes some editorial corrections of current Regulation No. 53 texts. The concern is that the rear trunk lid commonly used for four-wheeled vehicles may be adapted for future scooter type motorcycles to secure the storage space for helmet, etc. Current lamp requirements impose design constraints that may hamper the proper development of such storage features. IMMA

24 Feb 2014 Proposal for amendments to ECE/TRANS/WP29/GRRF/2014/5 (IMMA) GRRF-76-36/Rev.1 2014-02-24 Proposal to clarify the intent of the selected paragraphs to ensure that systems with with one service brake meet braking performance requirements using only that brake system (i.e, without any assistance from the secondary brake system). There had been an interpretation that for systems with two service brakes each brake had to meet the requirements which would result in higher stringency levels than intended by the requirement for single brake systems. The proposal also clarifies the parts of the braking system that should be considered with respect to hydraulic brake and mechanical transmissions and further clarifies that the test procedures are designed to simulate a brake failure rather than produce one. IMMA
