Proposal to align the text with the provisions for anti-lock braking systems used in other regulations, including specific exemptions for certain off-road vehicles as incorporated in UN Regulation No. 13. The proposal clarifies the limits on the use of any temporary ABS deactivation switch and prohibition against permanent disabling of ABS if fitted on a motorcycle.

Proposal from GRRF to correct document WP.29/2016/114 (proposal to align UN R78 with other braking regulations as regards anti-lock braking systems and to clarify the limits on the use of any temporary ABS deactivation switch and prohibition against permanent disabling of ABS if fitted on a motorcycle. Under (e), the correct reference to the paragraph GTR No. 3 should read 5.1.13. The correct reference under f) to the previous points should be (a) to (e) instead of (a) to (f).
