GRE proposal to amend the requirements for installation of front-position lamps, to revise the requirements on replacing light sources, to clarify and simplify the transitional provisions, to clarify the general provision to determine the mounting height of the lamp in paragraph 5.28.4., to complete the deletion of distributed lighting systems (DLS) (light generators) from the regulation, and to clarify the requirements and avoid the need for a telltale where one or more Light Emitting Diodes (LED) or LED modules, used to produce the principal passing beam, are wired such that the failure of any LED or LED module causes all the LED to stop emitting light. |
