- System validation through multiple assessment pillars including physical tests and in-service monitoring,
- Comprehensive safety management system requirements for manufacturers,
- Monitoring of DCAS operation with mandatory reporting of safety-critical occurrences to approval authorities,
- Periodic reporting requirements with specific data collection metrics,
- Software identification and updating compliance with UN R156,
- Clarification that DCAS is only permitted to operate when a driver is in control,
- Clarification that vehicles of categories X and Y without driver control capability are not required to comply with the regulation.
