Proposal to insert new paragraphs 0., 0.1. to 0.1.2. introducing Supplement 4 to extend application of UN R163 to vehicles of categories X and Y, and vehicles with manual mode operating above 6 km/h equipped with an Automated Driving System, based on GRSG-131-40. The amendment clarifies that provisions related to driver and manual driving controls shall not apply if absent in the vehicle unless already covered. For vehicles equipped with an Automated Driving System, no special provisions or exemptions apply in any driving mode. Amendments also update footnote references to the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles. |
