125. The representative of Canada, on behalf of the secretariat of the IWG on EVE, updated AC.3 on the latest progress in the implementation of UN GTR No. 22 by various contracting parties. He informed AC.3 about the development of Phase 3 amendments to UN GTR No.22, looking at, inter alia, virtual distance test and verification or minimum performance requirements for the state of certified range. He announced the amendments to UN GTR No. 22 were expected to be considered by GRPE at the next meeting later this month, and if approved at the time, byAC.3 in November 2026.
