2. The Chair welcomed delegates to the 195th session of WP.29 and opened the meeting. He thanked Mr. T. Naono (Japan), Vice-Chair, for chairing the November 2024 session in his absence. He also thanked Mr. T. Naono for representing WP.29 at the recent Fourth Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Morocco.
