5. AC.2 met on 3 March 2025. It was chaired by Mr. Erario.
6. The WP.29 Secretary reported that:
- AC.2 reviewed the list of Working Parties, Informal Working Groups and Chairs (WP.29-195-01) and suggested several corrections that would be reflected in an annex to the WP.29 report;
- AC.2 continued its discussion on promoting more global representation of WP.29 and its subsidiary bodies through their officers, i.e. Chairs and Vice-Chairs;
- AC.2 reviewed the calendar of sessions for 2025 and noted GRVA would have an informal session on 2-5 June 2025 in Bangkok, hosted by ESCAP, and that WP.1 would also have a special session hosted by ESCAP in the same week, starting and closing with an opening and a closing panel of the ESCAP Expert Group Meeting on Road Safety, GRVA, and WP.1;
- AC.2 welcomed the planned sessions and panel with ESCAP EGM, GRVA and WP.1, as an example of close collaboration between WP.1 and WP.29. AC.2 also invited its members to prepare a paper outlining areas of cooperation between WP.1 and WP.29;
- AC.2 discussed a first draft calendar of sessions for 2026 and noted that GRVA plans to have an informal session outside of Geneva in May 2026, provisionally hosted in Canada;
- AC.2 reviewed the 2025 Programme of Work of WP.29 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/1), recommended WP.29 to adopt it and noted that further amendments would be submitted to the June 2025 session of WP.29;
- AC.2 recommended the extension of the mandate of IWG on EVS for 12 months to allow for completion of its current work;
- In accordance with Rule 1(d) of the WP.29 rules of procedure (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/690/Rev.2), AC.2 approved the participation of the European Caravan Federation (ECF) in sessions of WP.29 and its subsidiary bodies in 2025-2027 as well as the participation of the Retrofit Mobility Europe (RME) in sessions of GRPE in 2025-2027;
- AC.2 recommended AC.4 not to convene.
