26. The newly elected Chair of GRRF, Mr. B. Frost (United Kingdom), informed WP.29 about the results achieved by GRRF during its seventy-third session (for more details see the session report ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/73).

27. The World Forum noted that Mr. Frost (United Kingdom) was elected GRRF Chair for the 2013 sessions and that Mr. Kubota (Japan) was elected GRRF Vice-Chair for the same period of time. The GRRF Chair reported that GRRF had nominated the expert from Spain to cover the task of Ambassador for GRRF on IWVTA activities of WP.29.

28. He informed WP.29 about the presentation by Japan to GRRF with the aim to introduce new provisions for “Lane Keeping Assist Systems (LKAS)” and “Parking Assist Systems (PAS)”, which would amend UN Regulation No. 79 (Steering equipment) or to establish a new UN Regulation. No formal proposal was made yet and the issue will be further reviewed by GRRF on the basis of a concrete proposal.
