Document title	Proposal for Supplement 2 to the 02 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 100
Date	16 May 2014		Proposal to clarify the requirements of UN R100 specified under paragraph 5.1.1. This paragraph describes the general requirements for the protection of all high voltage parts, including the obligation that such protection against live parts cannot be opened without the use of tools. If connectors can be opened without use of tools or if they do not satisfy the IPXXD/IPXXB protection limits, the provisions of 5.1.1.3 have to be met.

The expert from Germany agreed with the technical contents of the proposal but suggested a clearer wording. GRSP agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its December 2014 session.
